About Me

Susan MacNeil  B.A., B.Ed., M.Ed.

My name is Susan MacNeil

I had the privilege of being a school principal for 33 years.

 I absolutely loved my job.

I loved helping students, parents and my staff.

Deciding to retire from what was more like a vocation than a job, was a tough decision.

I enjoyed the challenge of solving problems and making decisions everyday.

Some of my schools had over 400 students, 400 or more parents, and 50-60 staff members.  Working with that large number of people presented an unlimited supply of decision making opportunities!  I thrived on working to meet the needs of my entire school community.

Meeting the needs of those people required team work.  My team consisted of a solid group of individuals, who shared common values for the school.

It is an exhilarating experience running a school.  Developing expectations within the building that everyone is there for the welfare of the students, builds  a sense of belonging, teamwork, pride and a clear sense of who we are.

My decision to retire, as I mentioned, was a tough one.  I was reluctant  to leave the “community of learners”, my team,  my colleagues and the children.

However, I did make the decision to retire and I am enjoying a whole new life!

Yes, I travelled and I enjoyed the freedom of having my own time, but I really wasn’t ready to just sit around!

I wanted to start my own business!

I needed to fill that desire to be accomplishing something,  building something, and challenging myself; however,  I did not want to have to get up each day and get dressed for the corporate world.  I liked my new laid back life style.

I decided that I would try something entirely different from what I had done for over 30 years.  I decided to build own my own on-line business.

I wanted to do something from the privacy of my own home utilizing my computer and exploring the internet.

I decided that I should create a web page that could help me process 33 years of being a school principal.  I also thought that I could be of service to those principals who were still working.

I found a company that offered to provide over the phone tutorials and promised me all kinds of potential success.  I was intrigued.  For $5,000.00 US, I could get my own on-line business up and running.

I deliberated over this for some time and then decided that the investment was worth it, so I signed on.  I spent three months learning how to code and how to use HMTL.  If I did not use coding and HMTL, nothing would appear on my website.

I was not used to this type of laborious work just to make a word appear on my website.  I was used to using Word, Publisher, and Power Point.    Those programs allowed me to type and see my finished work immediately.  Creating a webpage using HTML is NOT the same thing.

Let me show you what I mean.  I would have to type in

<h1 style=”font:26px Georgia; color:#dc143c”>Are you a School Principal?</h1> <br> <br>

to get what you see below.

Are You a School Principal?

I am 66 years old.  My eyes were hurting trying to code and re-code everything on my pages.

I researched and found a few on-line companies that sounded great, but turned out to be riddled with problems, very expensive, and just plain scams.

Fortunately, I found a company that met all my needs and surpassed my wildest expectations.

I found an on-line business opportunity that helped bring back that feeling of being successful, gave me the opportunity to solve challenges and put me back into being a part of a great team.

I was a seeking something outside my realm of expertise for the challenge, but I needed the educational component that would “teach” me how to do something I have never done before.

The company that I found is called  “Wealthy Affiliate“.  I certainly liked the name of the company.  Wealth is a good thing!   If I could accumulate some of that, in retirement, that would be fabulous!

What I found at Wealthy Affiliate was an outstanding opportunity for me to start my own on-line business, from the comfort of my home!   This company provides me all the tools I need, all the training, all the support and guidance I need to be successful.

I like to describe Wealthy Affiliate as my “All Inclusive Business Opportunity”.

Am I enjoying retirement?  You bet I am!

I have found a whole new adventure that allows me to follow a dream, and create wealth at the same time!

If you are retired, looking to retire or have a desire to start your own business, you owe it to yourself to check out Wealthy Affiliate.

As an educator, I have nothing but praise for the educational component that the two young men, who founded this company, have developed.

Kyle and Carson, the founders of Wealthy Affiliate,  have done an outstanding job of designing a business that is user friendly, educational and one that can give its members unlimited opportunities for creating wealth.

Take a few minutes to check it out.  It will be time well spent.
