Loud and Proud
The great thing about being a BOOMER, as I am, is that we believed that we could do ANYTHING! There were no limits for us.
In fact, we did it ALL. Look back over the last 50 years and marvel at what our generation did for this planet!
(I know, some were not so good; but you are using the internet right now aren’t you?)
Just think about all the technical advances, developments and changes that were made in the last 50 years.
Here are a few:
- Cell Phones
- Instant Teller
- Drive through instant teller
- Bar Codes
- Fiber Optics
- Robotic Surgery
- Coronary Bypass Surgery
- Internet
- Solar Energy
- On-line Shopping
- Laser Surgery
- Electric Cars
- DNA Testing
- Birth Control Pill
- Stents
- Biofuels
- GPS
- On-line E-commerce
So maybe the Boomers did not create or invent all of the items on the list above, but what we did not make, our children and our grandchildren did. We can still take a piece of the credit for that!
Thank you Baby Boomers. As a generation, we have been very busy!!!!
We deserve a huge “thumbs Up” for that!
I have a challenge for my fellow BOOMERS:
Let’s keep on making records for ourselves.
Let’s become the MOST PRODUCTIVE GROUP OF RETIREES IN HISTORY.
Why not?
We have the time to do it!
There are 7.3 MILLION of us!
We have the numbers!
We have the skills and we know we have the ability!!!!
Our brains are not dead.
Our skills have not gone stagnate.
Our sense of ability has not tarnished.
We are still the “DOERS” , the “SHAKERS” and the “BELIEVERS”.
We KNOW anything is possible.
So let’s go down in history as THE MOST PRODUCTIVE GENERATION of all times!!!!!
